Longest trip ever

its time for another trip. this time we're heading for Waigama. as usual, something always happen during the last minute. we had to wait at the harbor until 10 am before we left Sorong because someone (u know who) forgot that she supposed to go to the bank … oi oi oi oi …

It’s a very very long journey … about 9 hours. all u can see is ocean … never ending ocean. As usual I slept all the way (u know ... to prevent me from any urges of going to the toilet he he he he he he).

But on the way we found something interesting tho’. There is this island with nothing but 2 i-dont-know-wat-trees and one coconut three.

was thinking ...... maybe we could have a hammock picnic over there? hehehehe ...

about waigama:

  1. the biggest and most modern village I've ever visited in R4. The road have been paved.
  2. isool is far from Sorong but it is closer to other area from other province. So assimilation is occured and people are more opened compare to people from more remote area such asa Ayau.
  3. drinking water tanks with capacity of 2200 ltr have been installed is some places of this area, unfortunately the pump is not working (this is just the example how the government wasted our tax money for something that looks so good on paper but not in practice).
  4. finally i found 1 chinese family (the first chinese I met in R4) .. terharu bo'. like any other chinese, this family runs a store (alias bedagang juga). Sinta and I introduced ourselves as "chinese", and we ended up being invited for tea and banana cake. Although Sinta is as dark as any other Papuan but deep inside under that dark skin she is part chinese also. (see pic below)
  5. and they sold ice cream ... can u imagine ice cream in a very remote area? i was estactic .. and i treated everybody with ice cream.
  6. another unbelieveable thing is a CAR ... i just cant imagine seeing a car in any villages in R4 .... everything is in walking distance and hw did they brought the car from the port? is the road even wide enough for a car???? The car is given by the government for the head of district (if im not mistaken).
  7. when we walked along the bay, we found a finless baby shark ... oi oi oi ... hw could they do it? once i watched a video about unsustainable fishing practices. it also shows how the fishermen catch a shark, take the fin and then throw the shark back into the sea ... talking about animal right (sarcasticmode.com)
